An inductor, also called a coil/choke/ reactor, is a passive two-terminal electrical component that stores energy in a magnetic field when electric current flows through it. Inductor can be subdivided into radio frequency inductors and power inductors. This field is typically created with tightly coiled conductive wire such as copper. Power inductors can be subdivided into integrated power inductors and non-integrated power inductors.
