To be listed is a dream for most agrochemical companies in China. And how many listed agrochemical companies are there currently in China? In this issue we will briefly introduce these companies to you.
However, getting listed does not mean you can win much profit. In the past half year, most Chinese listed agrochemical companies experienced decrease in net profit, due to the slack demand abroad and adverse weather at home.
As for fungicide, owing to the intense competition among Chinese producers and the slack demand in both domestic and oversea market, most fungicide varieties’ prices continuously declined in the first half of 2010, which largely hurt the producers in terms of financial performance.
At the same time, given the growing cost of pesticide production in East China resulted from the increasing labor cost and strict environmental protection requirement there, most Chinese pesticide producers in East China are considering moving to West China. However, whether West China is the paradise for pesticide production is still in question.
