As the first year of the 12th Five-Year Plan, in 2011, the Chinese government devotes a lot of energy to developing and adjusting the domestic pesticide industry; a series of plans launched recently can come to this conclusion.

On 20 July 2011, the Legislative Affairs Office of China State Council issued a draft of new Pesticide Management Regulations, and the pesticide temporary registration will be cancelled in the near future.

On 26 July 2011, the CCPIA officially issued the 12th Five-Year Plan for Pesticide Industry. It is worth noting that a series of development goals mentioned in the new plan has focused on enhancing the industry concentration, which indicates that Chinese pesticide industry will usher in a major reshuffle in the next five years (2011-2015).

Besides, the ""Administrative Regulations on Crop Diseases and Insect Pests Professionally Unified Control"" which was formally issued by the Ministry of Agriculture has come into effect nationwide since 1 Aug. 2011.

Although China's pesticide industry has encountered many unfavorable factors, such as nationwide inflation, frequent natural calamity, electric power shortage, etc. in H1 2011; the output of pesticides in China has still witnessed increase, reaching about 1.40 million tonnes (calculated by 100% AI).
