Chinese pesticide market in H1 2011 did not come up to the desired effect and broke out from the successive years of depression situation. It is said that the total sales volume of insecticides, herbicides and fungicides has witnessed decline to a certain extent so far, mainly due to the outbreak of serious drought in China.

On 15 June 2011, China's Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) at the National Crop Diseases and Insect Pests Professionally Unified Control Working Conference held in Changsha of Hunan Province released that the chemical pesticide application in Chinese major grain crops, cotton, vegetables, fruits, and other cash crops would be reduced by 20% at the end of 2015, which could greatly ensure the quality and safety of agricultural products and preserve the ecological environment.

With the gradually reducing application of chemical pesticides in China, some biological pesticides with high efficiency, low toxicity and residue are estimated to enjoy bright market prospect in the future. For some bio-pesticide companies with the comprehensive strength, improving their ability of research and development, product quality, brand promotion, etc., are now at the top of the agenda.

As an excellent strobilurin fungicide, the capacity of azoxystrobin technical has witnessed rapid increase in China ever since 2010. Statistics from CCM international show that there are six active producers of azoxystrobin technical in China so far, with the total capacity of 1,000t/a.
