It has been almost 10 months since China decided to completely eliminate highly toxic pesticides on the 3rd China High-Level Forum on Pesticides held in Beijing on Sept.16, 2010. The government's intention of thoroughly prohibiting highly toxic pesticides was finally taken into practice on July 5, 2011. China Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) announced that it would ban 10 more highly toxic pesticides in 2011, such as methidathion, phorate, isofenphosmethyl, carbofuran, etc. MOA will fulfill the prohibition by three stages within 2011.
Eyeing the tighter policies of pesticide management in China has been carried out, especially the highly toxic pesticide management, many domestic pesticide players started to set foot in the production of bio-pesticides, aiming to seize the opportunity and enter the continuously booming field of domestic bio-pesitcides.
Noposion, as the largest pesticide formulation enterprise in China, has started to develop a kind of green pesticide solvent, namely resin-based solvent, since 2005. After more than six-year efforts, Noposion finally got the authentication of resin oil solvent from the authorities concerned and a subsidy of about USD625 thousand from the government for the R&D on resin-based solvent on July 6, 2011.
With the support from government, Noposion is confident to largely promote the resin-based solvent and further enhance its leading position in domestic pesticide formulation market.
